  本片改編自真人實事,由《舞動心方向》導演 蘭道·米勒 執導,艾倫瑞克曼、比爾·普爾曼與瑞秋泰勒主演。全片在北加州酒鄉美景中拍攝,帶領觀眾進入葡萄酒國度。   1976年,酒莊主人也是葡萄酒釀造新手的吉姆巴瑞特(比爾·普爾曼 飾),一生以追求頂級美酒為職志,固執并堅守完美主義的他,雖與年紀尚輕、不修邊幅的兒子波(克里斯潘 飾)時有意見相左的沖突時刻,父子倆卻有個共同的夢想,那就是在自家酒莊制造出最醇美的Chardonnay葡萄酒。此時,一位英國籍酒商史蒂芬(亞倫瑞克曼 飾)來到加州尋找新酒以挽救他搖搖欲墜的販酒事業,在偶然的機會下,他品嘗了巴瑞特酒莊出品的Chardonnay,其無懈可擊的完美品質令他驚為天人,史蒂芬立刻提議要將這款酒帶至巴黎參加品酒大賽。   然而,吉姆卻因不滿史蒂芬趾高氣昂的態度拒絕參賽,就在史蒂芬即將啟程前往巴黎之際,波不顧父親反對,將兩瓶Chardonnay交給史蒂芬參賽,結果Chardonnay在該次巴黎品酒會打敗眾多知名Burgundy白酒得到冠軍(九位評審中有六位都給了最高分),從此加州葡萄酒一戰成名。
